Traditional flat masks provide tunnel vision and block out up to 75% of normal field of view and whilst you can scan your eyes side to side in a flat mask with the illusion of a wide view it usually is less than 70 degrees . Along with this, the water refraction makes objects appear 34% bigger and 25% closer.

This revolutionary mask has been designed to deliver panoramic views (170 degrees x 90 degrees) that are true distance and true size giving you superior eye-hand co-ordination.

Although often described as ‘insect like’ the curved double-dome mask puts your eyes at the centre of a dome enabling razor-sharp vision throughout your entire view unlike the traditional flat mask where your vision is distorted.

HydroOptix features tough, scratch resistant, polycarbonate dome lenses that approximate a -4.5 diopter correction when in water making it an ideal mask for nearsighted divers (approx -3.75 to -5.25) as vision will be perfect underwater.

However, with such phenomenal results underwater, many divers with near perfect vision are opting to make themselves ‘artificially’ nearsighted with the use of disposable contact lenses*. Whilst this may sound crazy, with your time underwater being valuable it deserves a razor-sharp view and almost 5x greater vision than anything that you will have used before this dramatic difference makes this a small sacrifice.

Each mask is supplied in a hard custom case with a neoprene lens protector, anti-fog gel and a monocle for above-water vision and when snorkelling.
